TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HOSTS & GUESTS

Welcome to ZippZoom Services (“ZippZoom”), accessible through our website and mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”). The Platform is owned and operated by CITIRYDER TRANS SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED(referred to as “ZippZoom”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”).
By accessing or using our Platform, you (“User”, “Host”, or “Guest”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy, Fee Policy, and other applicable guidelines (collectively, the “Governing Policies”).
These terms govern your use of ZippZoom services, including but not limited to:
- Car rental services
- Travel bookings (flights, hotels)
- Visa assistance
Please read these terms carefully before using the Platform. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not access or use our services. These terms become effective when you click “I Agree” or when you use any service on the Platform.
ZippZoom reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Platform or services at any time without prior notice.
PRIVACY PRACTICES
At ZippZoom, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data. We encourage you to review it to understand how your information is managed.
AMENDMENTS / MODIFICATIONS
ZippZoom reserves the right to modify or update these Host Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on the official website or mobile application, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. ZippZoom may also notify Users through other communication channels where applicable.
All modifications shall become effective immediately upon being posted on the Platform. It is the responsibility of the User to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of ZippZoom Host Services after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If You do not agree with the modified Terms, You must discontinue using the Services.
ZIPPZOOM HOST SERVICES
ZippZoom Host Services is a marketplace feature that enables peer-to-peer car sharing. ZippZoom facilitates connections between vehicle owners (“Hosts”) and individuals seeking temporary vehicle usage (“Guests”) for personal use.
Hosts may include:
- Individual vehicle owners (with limited privately registered vehicles), and
- Fleet operators managing multiple self-drive vehicles
Both categories are collectively referred to as “Hosts” under these Terms.
ZippZoom does not own, lease, or rent vehicles listed on the Platform. It solely acts as a facilitator to enable Hosts and Guests to connect and enter into a Car Sharing Agreement. ZippZoom is not a party to such agreements and does not act as a transportation provider, agent, or insurer.
Users acknowledge that ZippZoom has no control over the conduct, actions, or behavior of Hosts or Guests and disclaims all related liabilities.
While ZippZoom aims to maintain a reliable and trusted marketplace, it does not guarantee:
- Vehicle quality or safety
- Accuracy of listings
- Completion of transactions or payments between Users
SERVICES INFORMATION
ZippZoom Host Services include:
(a) A digital marketplace platform enabling eligible Hosts and Guests to connect for peer-to-peer car sharing for personal use.
(b) Support and facilitation services, including:
- Assistance with execution of Car Sharing Agreements
- Payment facilitation
- Guest verification and KYC (via Platform or third-party providers)
- Vehicle tracking and usage monitoring
(c) Access to digital tools such as:
- Mobile applications
- Web platforms
- Third-party integrations and services
ZippZoom may also connect Users with independent third-party service providers offering optional add-on services such as:
- Vehicle cleaning and sanitization
- Home delivery
- Roadside assistance
These add-on services are availed at the sole discretion, risk, and cost of the User. ZippZoom holds no responsibility for such third-party services.
While ZippZoom strives to ensure accuracy of all information on the Platform, it does not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, or error-free. The Platform may contain typographical errors, outdated information, or omissions.
ZippZoom reserves the right to correct, update, or modify any information on the Platform at any time without prior notice, including after a booking or transaction has been initiated.
Users agree that ZippZoom shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from such errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.
USE OF ZIPPZOOM HOST SERVICES
While certain features of the Platform may be accessed without registration, Users are required to create an account to access ZippZoom Host Services. Only registered Users who meet the applicable eligibility criteria (as set out below) shall be permitted to use the Services, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
ELIGIBILITY
ZippZoom Host Services are intended solely for Users who are 18 years of age or older and meet the eligibility requirements stated herein. Any use of the Services by individuals who do not meet these criteria is strictly prohibited.
Any misrepresentation, false documentation, or attempt to bypass eligibility requirements may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of the account
- Removal from the Platform
- Legal action, where applicable
HOST & VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Host Requirements:
- The Host must possess valid government-issued identification such as Aadhaar, Passport, and PAN (if applicable).
- GST registration must be provided where required under applicable laws.
Vehicle Requirements:
- The vehicle must either:
- Be a private (non-transport) vehicle eligible for car sharing, or
- Have all required commercial permits under applicable laws
- The vehicle must:
- Be registered under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
- Be in the Host’s name OR operated with proper authorization from the registered owner
- Have all valid permits, tax payments, and regulatory approvals for operation
- The vehicle must NOT have:
- Pending insurance claims
- Legal disputes, unpaid challans, or liabilities
- Any history of being declared a total loss
- Additional requirements:
- Vehicle age should generally be within acceptable limits (recommended under 7–8 years)
- Odometer reading should be within acceptable operational range
- Valid Registration Certificate (RC) must be available
- Valid comprehensive motor insurance (including third-party coverage) is mandatory
- Compliance with emission norms, safety standards, and local transport laws
- Condition of vehicle:
- Must be clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy
- Must include basic safety equipment as per ZippZoom standards
- If applicable:
- GPS/In-vehicle tracking device must be installed and functional at the time of listing
GUEST ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The Guest must hold a valid driving license issued by the Government of India.
- Must provide valid government ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.).
- Must have a satisfactory driving record, including:
- No major accidents in the past 12 months
- No serious traffic violations in the past year
- Limited minor violations and no history of payment defaults
- The Guest must not have:
- A criminal record involving violence, theft, or illegal substances
KYC & VERIFICATION
All Users are required to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification before initiating a booking. This may include:
- Identity verification
- Document submission
- Live selfie or video verification
ZippZoom may engage regulated third-party service providers to perform such verification, subject to User consent. These providers are contractually obligated to ensure data protection and confidentiality.
Additionally, at the time of vehicle handover, the Host may request further identity verification or supporting documents. The Guest agrees to comply with such reasonable requests to commence the trip.
REGISTERING AND CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT
To access and use ZippZoom Host Services, You are required to create an account on the Platform using a valid email address and/or mobile number. During registration, You must provide accurate and complete information including but not limited to Your name, date of birth, contact details, and other identification information as required.
Each User is permitted to maintain only one account on the Platform.
ZippZoom may request submission of relevant documents during registration and may, at its discretion, require additional documentation to facilitate the Services.
DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS
For Hosts:
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate
- Valid Car Insurance
- Address Proof (Rent Agreement / Utility Bill / Company Letter, etc.)
- Government ID Proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID, etc.)
- PAN Card (mandatory where applicable)
For Guests:
- Valid Driving License
- Government ID Proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID, etc.)
- Address Proof (if required)
ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your login credentials, including username and password. All activities carried out through Your account shall be deemed to be Your responsibility.
In case of any unauthorized use or security breach, You must immediately notify ZippZoom through official support channels.
You agree that all information provided by You is:
- Accurate
- Complete
- Up-to-date
You further confirm that such information does not violate any third-party rights.
VERIFICATION & AUTHORIZATION
By registering on the Platform, You authorize ZippZoom to:
- Verify Your documents and information
- Use third-party verification services where required
- Collect, store, and process Your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any account at its sole discretion
- Share necessary information with Hosts, insurance providers, or law enforcement authorities in case of disputes, claims, or legal requirements
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Each Host and Guest agrees that ZippZoom and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Unauthorized transactions conducted using Your account credentials
- Loss or theft of personal belongings after completion of a booking
- Any misuse of Your account due to negligence in safeguarding login details
ONBOARDING OF VEHICLE BY HOST
Once the account is created, Hosts may list their vehicle(s) on the Platform by following the onboarding process provided within the app or website.
Each booking will have:
- A defined start time and end time (“Booking Period”)
- A specified pickup/drop location (“Designated Location”)
Bookings must generally be created in advance as per Platform rules.
Hosts must ensure:
- Vehicle availability during confirmed bookings
- Accurate listing details
- Compliance with Platform policies
CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING
Hosts may cancel or reschedule bookings subject to applicable charges as defined in the Fee Policy.
Repeated cancellations, misconduct, or failure to honor bookings may result in:
- Penalties
- Suspension or termination of Host account
- Removal of listed vehicles
DESIGNATED LOCATION
The Host must ensure that:
- The vehicle is parked at a safe, clean, and accessible location
- Clear instructions are provided for pickup
Hosts may define designated pickup locations within city limits. For home delivery services (if offered), the Host must ensure timely delivery at the agreed location.
IN-VEHICLE DEVICES (IF APPLICABLE)
Hosts may opt for installation of tracking or safety devices in the vehicle.
By opting for such installation, You agree that:
- Authorized personnel may access Your vehicle for installation or maintenance
- You will not tamper with or remove the device
Any damage, removal, or interference may result in:
- Recovery of device cost
- Penalties or deductions from payouts
ZippZoom may collect:
- GPS location data
- Vehicle usage data
- Driver behavior data
This data may be collected even during personal use of the vehicle until the device is removed.
Upon termination of Services, ZippZoom reserves the right to retrieve installed devices.
HOST LISTING INFORMATION
Once onboarding is complete, the vehicle will be listed on the Platform. The listing may include:
- Location details
- Vehicle description
- Host profile information
- Responsiveness and ratings
RECOVERY OF IN-VEHICLE DEVICES
The Host acknowledges that any In-Vehicle Device installed in the vehicle remains the sole property of ZippZoom at all times. The Host is granted a limited right to use such device upon payment of applicable Platform or Device Management Fees, as long as the vehicle remains listed on the Platform.
ZippZoom reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or delist any vehicle from the Platform. Upon such termination or delisting, the Host shall make the vehicle available for removal of the installed device.
In case the Host fails to comply with requests or avoids communication for device removal, the Host hereby authorizes ZippZoom and its representatives to retrieve and remove the device, with or without the Host’s presence.
ZippZoom and its authorized personnel may access the vehicle solely for the purpose of removing such device. The Host agrees not to hold ZippZoom liable for any minor damage arising during the removal process.
HOST DECLARATIONS
By listing a vehicle on the Platform, the Host agrees and confirms that:
- All information provided is true, accurate, and up to date
- Vehicle photos uploaded are genuine and represent the actual condition of the vehicle
- Only one active listing per vehicle will be maintained at any time
- Any damage, issue, or claim will be disclosed honestly
- The Host will act in good faith in resolving disputes with Guests and ZippZoom
ONLINE BOOKING
Once a Guest account is successfully created and verified, the Guest may browse available vehicles and place booking requests through the Platform.
Guests may:
- Book vehicles subject to availability
- Choose trip start time as per available slots (typically from the next available hour)
Upon receiving a booking request, ZippZoom will confirm the booking and notify both Host and Guest via app notification, email, or SMS.
By proceeding with a booking, both parties acknowledge that:
- They agree to the Platform terms and conditions
- ZippZoom acts only as a facilitator
- All transactions and usage are at the sole risk and responsibility of the Host and Guest
VEHICLE OWNERSHIP
The Guest acknowledges that booking a vehicle through ZippZoom grants only a limited right of use during the Booking Period.
Ownership of the vehicle:
- Always remains with the registered owner (Host)
- Is not transferred under any circumstances
ZippZoom does not own or lease vehicles listed on the Platform and acts solely as a technology intermediary.
All rights, liabilities, and obligations related to vehicle usage shall be governed by the Car Sharing Agreement executed between Host and Guest.
CAR SHARING AGREEMENT
Upon booking confirmation, the Host and Guest shall enter into a Car Sharing Agreement through the Platform.
This agreement:
- Is legally binding between Host and Guest
- Is required before the trip begins
- Will be executed digitally and stored by ZippZoom for record purposes
ZippZoom facilitates the execution but is not a party to this agreement.
The Car Sharing Agreement will cover:
- Booking fees and charges
- Security deposit / protection fee (if applicable)
- Liability for damages, theft, accidents
- Traffic violations and penalties
- Insurance coverage
- Guest responsibilities and usage conditions
- Dispute resolution terms
By accepting these Terms, the Host provides consent to all such agreements executed for their vehicle on the Platform.
In case of any conflict between:
- ZippZoom Terms, and
- The Car Sharing Agreement
ZippZoom Terms shall prevail.
Users are advised to seek independent legal advice if required.
OFFLINE ARRANGEMENTS (STRICTLY PROHIBITED)
Any attempt by the Host or Guest to:
- Bypass the Platform
- Conduct bookings or transactions outside ZippZoom
- Avoid platform fees or policies
(collectively referred to as “Offline Arrangements”) is strictly prohibited.
If such arrangements are identified:
- ZippZoom may suspend or terminate accounts
- Listings may be removed
- Penalties or recovery charges may be applied
Users must report any such requests immediately.
⚠️ Important:
- Offline bookings are not covered under ZippZoom policies
- No insurance, protection, or support will be provided
- ZippZoom shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from such arrangements
VEHICLE DELIVERY
Upon execution of the Car Sharing Agreement, the Host shall:
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned, sanitized, and in proper working condition, including routine servicing and maintenance as per ZippZoom standards
- Keep ready all vehicle keys and original documents, including:
- Registration Certificate (RC)
- Insurance Policy
- Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate
- Any other documents required under applicable law
- Ensure that the vehicle is available at the Designated Location at the agreed date and time
If the Guest has opted for delivery, the Host must ensure timely delivery to the specified location.
The Guest may:
- Collect the vehicle from the Designated Location, or
- Opt for Home Delivery (if available)
HOME DELIVERY SERVICES (OPTIONAL)
Home Delivery (“HD”) is an optional add-on service and may be facilitated either by:
- Third-party service providers, or
- Directly by the Host (if enabled on their profile)
ZippZoom may enable this feature based on eligibility, performance, and service availability.
ZippZoom’s Role
ZippZoom acts only as a facilitator connecting Host, Guest, and third-party delivery providers. It does not directly provide delivery services.
Host Responsibilities
- Ensure the vehicle is ready for use and has sufficient fuel
- Maintain proper condition of the vehicle before handover
Vehicle Handover Process
To ensure transparency, the following must be completed at delivery and return:
- 360-degree vehicle photographs
- Recording of fuel level and odometer reading
Trip start and end must be completed via the app using an OTP, which should only be shared after mutual confirmation of:
- Fuel level
- FASTag / toll charges
Home Delivery Fee
The Host may receive a share of the Home Delivery fee as per the ZippZoom Fee Policy.
Support & Limitations
- ZippZoom may share necessary trip details with delivery partners
- In case of disputes, ZippZoom will assist in coordination but is not responsible for third-party actions
- HD availability may vary based on city and operational conditions
Any damage during delivery transit shall be governed by ZippZoom’sDamage Policy.
The Guest must be present in person at the time of delivery and is responsible for inspecting the vehicle before accepting it.
CANCELLATION / MODIFICATION OF BOOKING
Guest-Initiated Cancellation
- Guests must cancel or modify bookings as per timelines in the Fee Policy
- Applicable cancellation charges may apply
If the Guest:
- Refuses delivery, or
- Fails to accept the vehicle
The booking may be cancelled and any advance payment may be forfeited to compensate the Host.
ZippZoom shall not be liable for any losses arising from:
- Delivery delays
- Failed or incomplete delivery
Host-Initiated Cancellation
- Cancellation within a short window after booking confirmation may not attract penalties
- Late cancellations may result in:
- Rating penalties
- Monetary penalties as per Fee Policy
Frequent cancellations or misconduct may lead to:
- Account suspension
- Vehicle delisting
ZippZoom reserves the right to deduct penalties from Host payouts.
VEHICLE USAGE TERMS
The vehicle shall be:
- Driven only by the authorized Guest
- Used carefully and responsibly
- Used strictly for personal purposes within the permitted territory
- Operated in compliance with all applicable laws
Any use outside the permitted conditions (“Prohibited Use”) is strictly forbidden and may result in:
- Immediate termination of booking
- Penalties or legal action
Prohibited uses will be detailed in the Car Sharing Agreement.
The Guest shall remain fully liable for:
- Any damage caused during the Booking Period
- Actions of any co-driver or person authorized by the Guest
PAYMENT FACILITATION, FEES & OTHER CHARGES
Facilitation Fee
ZippZoom shall charge the Host a Facilitation Fee for providing marketplace and support services. This fee will be calculated as a percentage of the Booking Fee, as defined in the Fee Policy, and will be deducted at the time of payout to the Host.
Platform Fee / Device Management Fee
ZippZoom may charge certain Hosts a monthly Platform Fee for operational and safety support services.
- Alternatively, Hosts who opt for installation of tracking or safety devices may be charged a Device Management Fee instead of the Platform Fee.
- Applicable fees will be deducted from Host earnings or collected as per the Fee Policy.
For Guests:
- A Platform / Convenience Fee may be charged per booking for use of ZippZoom services.
- This fee is separate from other applicable charges and is payable at the time of booking.
Trip Protection Fee
At the time of booking, the Guest shall pay a Trip Protection Fee for coverage against damages or risks during the trip.
ZippZoom may facilitate such protection through insurance partners or internal policies, as applicable.
Booking Fee
For Guests:
- The Guest shall pay a Booking Fee for reserving a vehicle
- The fee may vary based on:
- Vehicle type
- Duration
- Location
- All payments must be made through the ZippZoom Platform
Payment made to ZippZoom shall be deemed as payment made to the Host.
For Hosts:
- The Host shall receive earnings based on completed bookings
- Payouts (“Host Payable Amount”) will be processed after deduction of:
- Facilitation Fee
- Platform/Device Fee
- Add-on service charges (if applicable)
- Applicable taxes
Hosts may also be subject to penalties (including monetary deductions) for failure to fulfill bookings as per the Fee Policy.
OTHER PAYMENTS, REFUNDS & PENALTIES
In addition to the Booking Fee and Trip Protection Fee, the Guest may be liable for:
- Add-on service charges (e.g., home delivery)
- Cancellation, rescheduling, extension, or late return charges
- Charges for wrong drop location
- Loss of keys or documents
- Unpaid tolls, FASTag dues, or traffic violations
- Vehicle damage costs (repair and/or insurance charges)
The Guest authorizes ZippZoom to:
- Recover such charges from their account
- Adjust or set-off any payable/refundable amounts
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Restrict further bookings until dues are cleared
- Charge additional fees for failed transactions or payment recovery
- Recover legal or collection costs, if required
PAYMENT PROCESSING & RIGHTS
- ZippZoom may determine pricing as per its Fee Policy
- ZippZoom will collect payments from Guests and remit payouts to Hosts after deductions
- ZippZoom may withhold or adjust payments in case of:
- Incorrect account details
- Ongoing disputes or investigations
- Breach of Terms
Users are responsible for providing accurate payment and tax details. ZippZoom shall not be liable for errors due to incorrect information provided by Users.
ZippZoom shall not be responsible for any tax liabilities arising on the Host. Any liability imposed on ZippZoom due to Host non-compliance may be recovered from the Host.
DISPUTES & CLAIM TIMELINES
- All disputes must be raised within 15 days of booking completion
- Certain cases (e.g., damage, traffic violations, outstanding fees) may be raised within 90 days
After these timelines, claims shall be deemed waived.
In case of conflict, the Fee Policy shall prevail.
HOST’S OBLIGATIONS
The Host agrees not to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm any User
- Misuse personal information of other Users
- Engage in abusive or unlawful behavior
The Host must:
- Maintain vehicle condition and availability
- Ensure continuity of listings
Failure to serve bookings may result in:
- Penalties (up to a defined percentage of Booking Fee)
- Suspension or termination from the Platform
All issues, including vehicle damage claims, must be reported through the official support system. Claims not raised through proper channels may not be entertained.
CHECKLIST REQUIREMENTS
To ensure transparency, the Host must complete:
- Car Ready Checklist before booking start (recommended within defined timeframe)
- Booking End Checklist after trip completion
Failure to submit required checklists may result in:
- Inability to verify claims
- Acceptance of available data (e.g., Guest submission) as final
GUEST’S OBLIGATIONS
The Guest agrees to:
- Maintain the vehicle in good condition during the Booking Period
- Use the vehicle only for permitted purposes
- Follow all instructions provided in vehicle documentation
The Guest shall:
- Exercise reasonable care while using the vehicle
- Avoid prohibited usage as defined in the Car Sharing Agreement
- Ensure safekeeping of vehicle documents
In case of loss of documents:
- The Guest shall bear the cost of replacement
- All applicable charges shall be payable to the Host
ACCIDENT, THEFT, TRAFFIC VIOLATION & CONFISCATION
All cases involving accident, damage, theft, traffic violations, or confiscation of the vehicle during the Booking Period shall be governed by the terms of the Car Sharing Agreement between the Host and the Guest.
Both Host and Guest agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information regarding any incident
- Cooperate in good faith to resolve disputes
- Follow the procedures outlined in the Car Sharing Agreement
INSURANCE, TRIP PROTECTION & DAMAGE MANAGEMENT
Host Vehicle Insurance
The Host must maintain valid comprehensive motor insurance for the vehicle at all times, in compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
DAMAGE POLICY
For individual Hosts, ZippZoom may facilitate support through third-party partners for:
- Vehicle repairs
- Theft claims
- Total loss cases
Fleet operators may maintain their own independent insurance coverage.
⚠️ Important Conditions:
- The Host must cooperate fully during claim processing
- Any interference, obstruction, or unauthorized repossession of the vehicle during claim processing may result in:
- Loss of claim eligibility
- No compensation from Guest or insurer
- Depreciation and claim settlement shall be as per:
- Applicable laws, or
- Insurance provider terms
EXCLUSIONS UNDER DAMAGE POLICY
The Damage Policy shall not apply in cases such as:
- Damage occurring while the vehicle is in possession of the Host
- Damage due to negligence or intentional acts by the Host
- Normal wear and tear, including:
- Mechanical/electrical faults
- Aging or depreciation
- Any exclusions specified by the insurance provider
ZippZoom may assist both Host and Guest in coordinating claims but does not assume liability.
TRIP PROTECTION PLAN (TPP)
At the time of booking, the Guest must select a Trip Protection Plan (TPP) by paying a Trip Protection Fee (TPF).
This plan:
- Limits the Guest’s financial liability in case of damage
- Is subject to specific terms, conditions, and exclusions
TPP EXCLUSIONS (WHEN GUEST IS FULLY LIABLE)
The Guest shall NOT receive protection benefits if:
- Damage, theft, or loss is caused intentionally
- Negligence or rash driving is involved
- Driving under influence of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited substances
- Vehicle is used illegally or against traffic laws (e.g., racing, overspeeding, restricted areas, commercial misuse)
- Any act leading to third-party injury, death, or property damage due to Guest’s fault
In such cases, the Guest shall bear 100% of the cost and liability.
CHECKLIST IMPORTANCE (MANDATORY FOR CLAIMS)
Both Host and Guest acknowledge that:
- Booking Start Checklist (Pickup)
- Booking End Checklist (Drop-off)
are critical for damage verification.
Failure to complete these checklists may result in:
- Rejection of claims
- Inability to dispute charges
In case of technical issues, Users must immediately contact ZippZoom support.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES IN CASE OF INCIDENT
In case of accident, theft, or damage, the Guest must:
- Inform ZippZoom immediately
- Provide all required details and documentation
- Assist in filing FIR or insurance claims (if required)
- Cooperate fully in claim processing
Failure to comply may result in full liability on the Guest.
GUEST LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES
The Guest shall be liable for:
1. Damage Cases
- Any amount not covered under the Trip Protection Plan
- Full cost if damage arises due to prohibited use
2. Theft / Total Loss
- Charges for extended usage beyond booking period
- Any uncovered loss as per insurance/TPP terms
- Additional costs related to assessment and recovery
3. Other Charges
- Unpaid dues under the Car Sharing Agreement
- Any additional expenses incurred by the Host
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Notwithstanding any insurance, Trip Protection Plan, or Damage Policy:
ZippZoom shall not be liable for:
- Any direct or indirect loss
- Damage to vehicle or property
- Injury, death, or third-party claims
All such liabilities remain between the Host and the Guest.
VEHICLE RETURN / REPOSSESSION
Upon completion of the Booking Period or early termination of the Car Sharing Agreement (except in cases of theft or total loss), the Guest must:
- Return the vehicle at their own cost
- Ensure the vehicle is in similar condition as at pickup, excluding normal wear and tear
- Return all items including:
- Vehicle documents
- Car key / key fob
- In-vehicle devices
- Any accessories provided
The vehicle must be returned to the designated location within the agreed time.
The Guest is mandatorily required to complete the Booking End/Drop Checklist at the time of return. The Host shall also complete a corresponding checklist upon receiving the vehicle.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS & PENALTIES
The following conditions shall apply:
- Wrong Return Location:
If the vehicle is returned to a different location, the Guest will be charged transportation costs to bring the vehicle back to the designated location. - Late Return:
Delay in returning the vehicle will result in:- Late return penalties
- Additional charges until the vehicle is returned
- Repossession costs, if applicable
- Vehicle Damage:
Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will result in:- Repair charges
- Additional penalties as per ZippZoom Fee Policy
- Missing Items:
If any item (keys, documents, devices, accessories) is lost or missing:- Replacement cost + inconvenience fee will be charged
- Booking Extension:
If the booking duration exceeds the originally agreed period:- Extension charges will apply as per Fee Policy
IMPORTANT NOTE ON DISPUTES
All disputes related to:
- Damage
- Delays
- Missing items
will be evaluated strictly based on:
- Booking Start (Pickup) Checklist
- Booking End (Drop) Checklist
Failure to complete these checklists may result in:
- Rejection of claims
- Additional penalties
WARRANTIES OF THE PARTIES
Host Warranties
Each Host represents and warrants that:
- They are the legal owner of the vehicle OR have valid authorization from the owner
- The vehicle is:
- Safe, roadworthy, and well-maintained
- Free from known defects affecting usage
- They have full legal authority to:
- List the vehicle
- Enter into agreements on ZippZoom
- There are no legal disputes or restrictions preventing:
- Listing of the vehicle
- Execution of the Car Sharing Agreement
Guest Warranties
Each Guest represents and warrants that:
- They meet the legal driving age as per Indian laws
- They hold a valid driving license
- They have full legal capacity to:
- Enter into agreements
- Use the platform lawfully
- There are no legal or governmental restrictions affecting:
- Their ability to book or use the vehicle
WARRANTIES OF ZIPPZOOM
ZippZoom provides its Platform and services on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
ZippZoom:
- Makes no guarantees regarding:
- Accuracy
- Reliability
- Completeness of information on the platform
- Shall not be held liable for:
- Any direct or indirect loss
- Decisions made based on platform content
PLATFORM AVAILABILITY
Access to ZippZoom services may be affected due to:
- Internet or network issues
- Technical failures
- Maintenance or updates
ZippZoom does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
RIGHT TO MODIFY SERVICES
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service
- Change platform content, availability, or access requirements
without prior notice.
INFORMATION DISCLAIMER
Any information provided via:
- Platform listings
- Social media
- Chat, email, or customer support
is based on user-provided data.
While ZippZoom makes reasonable efforts for accuracy:
- It does not guarantee completeness or correctness
- Users rely on such information at their own risk
ZippZoom shall not be liable for any consequences arising from reliance on such information.
USERS’ INDEMNITIES
During the validity of the Car Sharing Agreement and these Terms, both the Host and the Guest agree to:
- Indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZippZoom, its affiliates, directors, employees, and representatives (“ZippZoom Group”) from any:
- Losses
- Damages
- Claims
- Liabilities
- Legal costs and expenses
arising out of or related to:
- Any breach or non-compliance with:
- Car Sharing Agreement
- These Terms
- Platform policies
- Any false, misleading, or incorrect representation made by the User
- Any damage, injury, death, or loss caused due to:
- Use of the vehicle
- Negligent, rash, or unlawful conduct
- Any disputes between Users or third parties arising from:
- Platform usage
- Transactions or communication
- Any content uploaded, shared, or published by the User
Each indemnity obligation:
- Is independent
- Continues even after termination
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Take control of legal defense in such matters
- Require User cooperation
- Restrict settlement without prior written approval
TERMINATION OF SERVICES / AGREEMENT
These Terms remain valid as long as the User continues to use ZippZoom services.
Termination by User
A User may terminate by:
- Closing their account
- Stopping use of the platform
However:
- Any pending payments or liabilities must still be cleared
Termination by ZippZoom
ZippZoom may suspend or terminate services:
- With prior notice (generally 30 days), OR
- Immediately (with or without notice) in cases such as:
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Non-payment of dues
- Breach of terms or policies
- Misuse of vehicle (prohibited use)
- Fraud, misconduct, or safety concerns
- Technical or operational issues
- Business or commercial reasons
Termination of Booking (Host / Guest)
Both Host and Guest may terminate a booking as per the Car Sharing Agreement terms.
EFFECTS OF TERMINATION
Upon termination or booking completion:
- Guest must:
- Return the vehicle immediately
- Pay all pending charges
- Host must:
- Settle any outstanding obligations
- ZippZoom may:
- Remove in-vehicle devices
- Recover company assets if required
- Refunds (if applicable):
- Adjusted against pending dues before processing
- Users must:
- Delete or destroy any platform materials if required
PLATFORM RECOMMENDATIONS
Any suggestions or recommendations shown on ZippZoom:
- Are for informational purposes only
- Do not constitute endorsement or guarantee
Users act on such recommendations at their own discretion.
USER CONTENT POLICY
All content shared by Users including:
- Photos
- Videos
- Text
- Messages
- Documents
(“User Content”) is the sole responsibility of the User.
ZippZoom does not:
- Control or verify such content
- Guarantee its accuracy or legality
PROHIBITED CONTENT
Users must NOT upload or share content that:
- Belongs to others without permission
- Is illegal, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
- Violates intellectual property rights
- Misleads or impersonates others
- Contains viruses or harmful software
- Promotes unlawful activities
- Threatens public order, national security, or legal compliance
CONTENT LIABILITY
- Users are fully responsible for their content
- ZippZoom is not liable for:
- Errors or omissions
- Losses caused due to reliance on such content
Users waive any claims against ZippZoom related to User Content.
CONTENT MODERATION RIGHTS
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Remove or modify any content
- Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
- Refuse service without prior notice

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The name “ZippZoom”, logo, and all related branding elements (collectively referred to as “Marks”) are the exclusive property of ZippZoom.
- All other trademarks, logos, or service marks displayed on the Platform belong to their respective owners.
- No license or right is granted to use any Marks without prior written permission.
All content on the Platform, including:
- Text
- Images
- Graphics
- Software
- Designs
- Videos and other materials (“Content”)
is owned by or licensed to ZippZoom and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws in India.
RESTRICTIONS ON USE
Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Copying, reproducing, or distributing content
- Modifying or republishing any material
- Using content for commercial purposes
Content may only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Downloading or accessing content does not transfer ownership rights to the User.
LIMITED LICENSE
ZippZoom grants Users a:
- Limited
- Non-exclusive
- Non-transferable
- Revocable
license to access and use the Platform for personal use only.
Any unauthorized use may result in legal action.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
ZippZoom acts only as a technology platform to facilitate vehicle sharing between Hosts and Guests.
- ZippZoom does not control:
- Vehicle condition
- Listings
- User behavior
- All bookings and usage of vehicles are at the User’s own risk.
“AS IS” BASIS
The Platform is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
ZippZoom makes no warranties regarding:
- Accuracy of information
- Reliability of services
- Availability of the Platform
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZippZoom shall not be liable for:
- Business interruption
- Data loss or corruption
- Delays or platform inaccessibility
- Third-party links or services
- Viruses or system failures
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits)
MAXIMUM LIABILITY
Except where covered under any applicable protection plan,
ZippZoom’s total liability shall not exceed INR 10,000.
USER RESPONSIBILITY
Users acknowledge that:
- Results and experiences may vary
- Services are used at their own risk
No claim may be brought against ZippZoom after 1 year from the cause of action.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites.

- ZippZoom does not endorse or control such websites
Users access third-party platforms at their own risk and should review their policies independently.
GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
- Courts at Kolkata shall have jurisdiction (you can change city if needed)
ARBITRATION
- Any dispute shall be resolved through arbitration
- Arbitrator shall be appointed by ZippZoom
- Proceedings shall follow the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
- Seat of arbitration: Kolkata
ZippZoom retains the right to seek interim or injunctive relief from courts when required.
PLATFORM SECURITY
Users agree NOT to:
- Access unauthorized data or accounts
- Attempt to breach system security
- Introduce viruses or harmful code
- Overload or disrupt the platform
- Send spam or unauthorized communications
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
ENFORCEMENT
ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Investigate security violations
- Take legal action
- Cooperate with law enforcement authorities
Violation of platform security may result in:
- Account suspension
- Legal liability (civil and criminal)
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law or by any court or arbitral authority:
- Such provision shall be deemed modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable
- The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, along with all applicable policies of ZippZoom, constitute the entire agreement between the User and ZippZoom.
They supersede all prior communications, agreements, or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the use of the Platform and services.

All notices or communications shall be made in writing via:

Any communication sent to the User’s registered mobile number or email shall be considered valid notice.
WAIVER
Failure by ZippZoom to enforce any provision of these Terms at any time shall not:
- Constitute a waiver of such provision
- Affect ZippZoom’s right to enforce it in the future
ASSIGNMENT
- Users may not transfer or assign their rights or obligations without prior written consent from ZippZoom
- ZippZoom reserves the right to:
- Assign or transfer its rights and obligations at its discretion
FORCE MAJEURE
ZippZoom shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, etc.)
- War, terrorism, civil disturbances
- Government actions or regulations
- Pandemic, epidemic, lockdown
- Network or utility failures
(“Force Majeure Event”)
During such events:
- Obligations may be suspended for the duration of the event
If such delay continues beyond 60 days, either party may terminate the agreement with written notice.
GENERAL
- Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as creating:
- Partnership
- Agency
- Joint venture
between ZippZoom and Users.

MAINTENANCE STANDARDS FOR HOST VEHICLES
Your vehicle must follow all laws and regulations for safety, condition, and operation. You should get a vehicle mechanical and safety inspection at least once a year.
